JARED REINFELDT

Jared Reinfeldt is a stage and film actor based in NYC. Chasing variety and the power of a reimagined classic, he's appeared in plays and musicals Off-Broadway and across the country.

Reinfeldt just finished playing Gerry Goffin in Beautiful at the Matlz Jupiter Theatre. Previously, he portrayed Toby Darling in the critically acclaimed regional premiere of The Inheritance. The Boston Globe celebrated his turn as an Elvis-impersonator-turned-drag-queen in The Legend of Georgia McBride, and his work as Victor in a new adaptation of Frankenstein shone both onstage and in the subsequent Audie-nominated audio drama.

Onscreen, you can catch him in The Flight Attendant, Gossip GirlAmerican Horror Story, and Soderbergh's most recent: COMMAND Z. Currently, Jared guest stars in FEUD: Capote vs The Swans for Gus Van Sant alongside Tom Hollander and Joe Mantello.

Farmyard Follies

I've seen Titanîque three times, and every time I've been blown away by the wit and the references and the precision with which that show was built. So, when director Tye Blue asked if I'd spend a week working on a new Animal Farm-style musical satire, I said yes immediately.

*Then* I found out I'd be playing "Hugh the Horse, the Mayor of the Town" and surrounded by the wildest group of actors, singers, drag queens, and nightclub performers. I learned that Tye *is* a comedic mastermind, and writers Blake Allen and Tina Burner are crazy aunts/creative geniuses. We had a blast.

COMMAND Z

I've been a fan of Steven Soderbergh's innovative, free-wheeling work for years (The Oceans movies had me absolutely ready to commit myself to a life of crime). It was a true thrill to work on this mini-series under his direction, across from Zoë Winters, an actor I've loved on Succession and who I'm dying to work with on a New York stage.

THE INHERITANCE

As the first post-Broadway production of Matthew Lopez's Oliver- and Tony-winning opus, we were thrilled by how well Boston audiences responded to our intimate retelling.

Playing Toby Darling was the greatest honor and biggest challenge of my career. To be part of such an incredible cast and team was, and continues to be, a wonderfully overwhelming blessing.

GOSSIP GIRL

"New York, Gossip Girl Loves You, Again"

Casting didn't initially go my way with this one, and then, a few months later, showrunner Josh Safran reached out to say they'd written a new role with me in mind. I got to play Victor, who tormented and eventually seduced the school's resident bad boy. Delicious fun!

Aside from the massive sets and gorgeous clothes and outlandish dialog, the greatest gift here was working alongside theatre legends I'd long admired: Lois Smith, Laura Benanti, Todd Almond, John Benjamin Hickey...truly a dream.

AUDIBLE AUDIO PLAY

"A. S. Peterson's Celebrated Stage Adaptation Reborn In a New Form"

Our original cast came together in the middle of the pandemic to record an audio play adaptation of our celebrated stage production. I loved being challenged in a new medium.

Just a Little Touch of Star Quality: Jared Reinfeldt Shines in Georgia McBride

"Reinfeldt’s impossible charm and organic talent that make this Legend of Georgia McBride something worth celebrating."

I have never had more fun onstage (or worn less clothes)!

NO WAY BACK

NBC PILOT

How far will one man go to save the people he loves?......(we'll never know!)

NBC elected not to pick up this series, created by The Path's Jessica Goldberg (big mistake. huge.).

It started Derek Luke, Jeri Ryan, Raúl Esparza, Kearran Giovanni, and Paula Newsome.

It was my first TV job and I played Jeri and Raúl's eldest son.

A literal dream.

There's No Sashaying Away From Georgia McBride

"As Casey, Jared Reinfeldt is convincingly boyish and then girlish and, facing his drag baptism by fire, both sympathetic and hilarious."

The Seaview Nursing Home for The Newly Deceased

I'd been aching to get back onstage, and dying to do it in NYC. Enter Nate Bertone, director-designer-playwright extraordinaire. He'd been working on a new play about a group of strangers who unknowingly end up deceased, together, in an abandoned nursing home. We sold out out a benefit reading at North Shore Music Theater ahead of a week-long reading and presentation here in NYC.

I got the rare chance (for me, at least) to play a heart-forward, adult man who had lived a full, beautiful life. It's a hilarious, cathartic piece and I was so grateful to share it with our audiences.

AHS: NYC

I had the absolute honor of joining the 11th season of American Horror Story. I played Charlie Carver's roommate, and my disappearance sent him off on a journey through the dark underbelly of NYC. The cast included Zachary Quinto, Russell Tovey, Joe Mantello, Isaac Cole Powell, Billie Lourd, Denis O'Hare, Leslie Grossman, Sandra Bernhard, and Patti LuPone.

You can click the picture below for our scenes, which set the plot in motion. I promise it's more spooky than scary.

DEADLINE

Hulu Picks Up Chloë Grace Moretz Miramax-6th & Idaho Sci-Fi Thriller...

The Batman scribe Mattson Tomlin’s feature directorial debut follows a young couple's treacherous escape as their country is caught in an unexpected war with artificial intelligence.

This movie has such massive heart and left me wrecked after the first watch (not as badly as I get wrecked in the movie, though!).

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT

VANITY FAIR REVIEW

"The Flight Attendant, Starring Kaley Cuoco, Is an Enormously Fun Romp"

I had a blast playing a naughty, taco-truck-loving cater waiter named Michael on the hit (HBO) Max show, now renewed for its second season.

More than anything, I will be a Griffin Matthews (&fam) stan for LIFE now.

BOSTON GLOBE REVIEW

Strutting their stuff in ‘The Legend of Georgia McBride'

"Reinfeldt brings a buoyant energy and an appealingly ingenuous demeanor to Casey...the actor winningly handles the transition to the more worldly Georgia..."

Drag Queens work HARD, y'all. This one was thrilling and a 90-minute full-body workout, every day. Buoyant energy brought to you by cold brew and coconut water.

THE BAD GUY...

STUIDO TENN

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe

A fresh adaptation of C.S. Lewis' classic novel shed new light on a timeworn tale and fused Story Theatre conventions with the bespoke design that has become Studio Tenn's calling card. Plus, I got the rare chance to play the villain and scare children. Fun!

Look at that buzzcut and that fur!

It was a blast.
